Let’s add our first product review post to WordPress. Go to: Posts »» Add New.
(Note: these screenshots were taken with MyReviewPlugin installed. Default WordPress post edit screen is different.)
Review Title
For the title, simply use the product name. Add the words "review" or "facts" to it. I personally like to add "– Review & Facts" for this type of site.

Review Content
Now let’s write the post content.
I use the rating categories and custom rating metrics as <h2> tags in my product review post. Below each tag is a description of the metric as it relates to the product being reviewed.

Product Category
Create a new category called "Products" and add the review posts to it.

Upload Product Thumbnail
Thumbnails make a site more attractive. Upload a thumbnail for the product. Better be small, like 150 by 150 pixels. The thumbnail will be displayed in your posts and comparison tables — like this:
![]()
Link to Thumbnail and Affiliate Link
Next, enter the link to the thumbnail and your affiliate link.
![]()
Product Rating Categories
Then, select the rating categories for this product.

Adding Custom Rating Categories / Review Metrics
Now, use WordPress "Custom Fields" interface to add any review metrics not included in the "Rating Categories" — like maybe price, money back guarantee period, etc.
These rating categories and custom data will appear in the comparison table and the post itself, as you saw in the screenshots on the first page of this tutorial.

That’s it for the individual post. Add a few more products, repeating the steps above for each product post.
Now, let’s tell MyReviewPlugin to display our thumbnail and rating categories and custom data on the actual live post.
