The Pop Over plugin is a basic WordPress popup plugin that has some uniquely useful features.
- it lets gives your visitors the option to click on “never show me a popup again”
- show popup to search engine visitors only
- show popup from traffic from a certain referring site
Because of its simplicity, the plugin is very easy to setup and use. Check out its settings page:

As you can see from the screenshot above, the plugin doesn’t do a whole lot. There is no 3rd party email marketing service integration, built-in styles or templates, or lightbox effects. It can’t detect when a user is trying to leave your site and its appearance cannot be delayed.
To download and use the plugin, you have to sign up for a premium account with WPMU DEV.
Price, license, and refund policy
Pop Over is included with the other multitude of plugins and themes offered at WPMU DEV. WPMU DEV‘s subscription is month-to-month and can be canceled anytime. It gives you completely unrestricted access to all the plugins and themes they’ve authored. But there ain’t no refunds.
