Which Membership Plugin for WordPress is Most Popular Among Users

An important measure of the viability and success of a plugin is its community, user base, and fans. I’ve tried to get a sample of the websites that are currently utilizing WordPress membership plugins, so you can get an idea of what’s possible.

You can click on the name of the product below to view its full review.

WishList Member

WishList Member is an extremely popular membership plugin. On their website, WishList shows a counter of how many websites are powered by the plugin, and it shows tens of thousands! You can check out the complete showcase here.

Digital Access Pass

Many small and medium sized websites use DAP for its flexibility and power. DAP is especially popular among internet marketers on the Warrior Forum.

Here are some websites that are actively using DAP right now: OnlineBusinessNetworker.net, ThePleasureNutritionist.com, Google Red Carpet, SpaceVidCast.com, Focused 2 Win, Take Action! Revise LaterTraffic Zombie, PageTent, Kawaii Japanese, Hoop Clinics, My Forward Steps, Congressional Classroom, and VA Insider Club.

eMember

eMember may seem like a little cute plugin that might not have the muscle to run big production sites, but in reality that's not the case. eMember is capable and does power large sites. Here are some of them: Max Foundry, FX Renew, SurviveAndConquerCoaching.com, Quantum Music Works, SiteSubscribe.com, JustJung.com, RPG-Exploiters, and The Nutrition Academy.

Magic Members

Because of Magic Members well-rounded abilities, it is able to power a variety of types of websites. Here are some pretty looking examples: Fund Radar, Designers Inn, NutriFamilyMeals, Interview Income, OHM, Whitemarsh, and Pop4Schools.

Paid Memberships Pro

Paid Memberships Pro is one of the latest membership plugins, therefore there aren't many examples of websites using it. Nonetheless, here's one interesting example: Philly Side Arts. Furthermore, PaidMembershipsPro.com itself is powered by its own plugin! You can visit the site to see how payment and member registration flow, among other things...

WPMU DEV Membership

Here's one very professional looking website that's using Membership: StayPress. For other examples, check out Affiliate Made and Medicos 24.

MemberWing

Wall Street Week, The Dribbler Mag, WordPress Academy, Oil and Gas Investments, MLM The Whole Wealth, and Waldorf Homeschoolers.

Notice how some of these websites are stocks and investments related. These types of websites are more likely to take advantage of MemberWing's time-sensitive content protection capabilities than regular membership sites.

wp-Member

I was able to find two membership sites that currently are using wp-Member: Contra Costa County Sheriff Reserve and Frances Insights. As would be expected, both are small sites that use wp-Member to protect their content with minimum fuss.
