Both Amazon and eBay have very popular affiliate programs. If you participate in one of these affiliate programs, you can certainly take advantage of the other one.
There are a couple of WordPress plugins out there that can combine the powers of both Amazon and eBay.
phpBay is the most popular WordPress plugin for pulling eBay auctions and displaying them on your WordPress site. If you want to build an affiliate site that has eBay auctions, you gotta have that one first.
Then to be able to display both eBay auctions and products from Amazon combined, you can utilize one of two powerful plugins: ReviewAZON or WP Zon Builder. Any one of these two plugins can pull products from Amazon and then “talk” to phpBay to include auctions from eBay on the very same page.
In fact, the two plugins can also integrate with Overstock, YouTube, and other websites.
Both ReviewAZON and WP Zon Builder are accompanied by sufficient documentation such as videos, PDF files, and tutorials to help you understand how to integrate these services.

I don’t know any tricks for detecting the script that website uses — but it probably uses phpBay. That’s the most popular one. That website isn’t integrating Amazon and eBay, though. It only lists eBay products. I like its theme. It’s using the Magazine Theme which I recommend on the WordPress Amazon themes page and the how to build an Amazon store for free tutorial.
